Ann-Maree & Luke: Palm Point

Palm Point
Wedding days are always an emotional rollercoaster ride for everyone in involved. I love being there to capture the day and all the emotions in it. It is, as we all know, one of the biggest days in your life but it go's by so very quickly.
We started Ann-Maree & Lukes day at Ann-Maree's parents house where the girls were all getting ready. Ann-Maree and her gorgeous dress looked just beautiful.

Above: Ann-Maree looking a little nervous before she does the walk down to Luke. People always joke about the nerves being about the marriage part, but we all know it is more the walking with every eye on you!

Above: Ann-Maree and Luke are car people... and much to my enjoyment, they have taste with their cars and they had the two Monaros. (everything always comes back to holden vs ford)

Thanks for looking at the favs from the day. Ann-Maree & Luke are a fabulous couple - wish you guys all the best!

Heather & Darcy - Heron Island

Another beautiful wedding on Heron Island... something about an Island wedding that's more intimate... possibly because of the surrounds, and ofcourse that the wedding is smaller in comparison to a normal wedding these days - having only the very closest people to you there, definately makes for something extraordinary. Heather and Darcy had there ceremony down at an area called Shark Bay on Heron Island, right on the sand.

Here a few of the favs I got on the day

I wish Heather & Darcy a lifetime of happiness!

Ann-Maree & Luke: engagement shots

Ann-Maree and Luke: Another brilliant couple (I am so lucky to have such fabulous clients!!). Although, Luke, not so much a fan of having photos taken, took a little convincing, but in the end, he relaxed, and I think we did really well and got a few casual shots of the happy couple!

Kids Club: Abigail

A few of my favs from Miss Abigails Kids Club Shoot.

Photobucket

Abbey is definately one of the most placid babies I have ever had the pleasure to photograph! She is a true sweetheart

Photobucket

And it is not everyday we get the chance to put a baby in log

Photobucket

And we made a baby Hammock :)

Abbey is going to be a regular kids clubber, so I am looking fowards to photographing her journey through her first few years and beyond

Amy & Cameron: Gardens Wedding

Cameron and Amy were married on October 3rd at the Gardens. Amy looked absolutely gorgeous.
Take a look a at a few of my favourite shots from their day

Photobucket

The Gardens provide a really versatile location for weddings.

Photobucket

I love this shot of Cameron and Amy and it sums up their day. We found this lovely light as we strolled through the gardens, and I think it has worked well. I think this will be a treasured memory.

Photobucket

Something fun and romantic

Photobucket

Just when we were going to pack it in for the day, I changed my mind on the journey back... Completely annoying I am :D but, hey, this was worth it.. the beer can wait just a little longer :)

And another

Big congratulations to such a wonderful couple, I wish you all the very best for a happy life together :)

Jade and Andy and their love for Heron Island

It was really odd for me not meeting my wedding clients until the day before the wedding, but Heron Island weddings will generally be couples who live nowhere near gladstone, so all the communication prior is phone and email.

Jade and Andy have a special link with Heron Island, as this is where it all began for them. You could tell they had a bond with the island. and most definately with one another. They had many friends and family join them for their special day.

Jade and Andy were super relaxed, and their wedding was just beautiful, not because it was on Heron Island, but because, they were not caught up in the little wedding day things, they were only concerned with what is most important on the wedding day... each other. They are fun people, and so it was only natural that they should have wedding pics.

Here are a few of my favs from the day

Photobucket
above: Their two year old son Baileywas not long up from a nap when sam & I arrived, I loved his yawn! Oblivious to exactly whats happening, he didnt resist one bit when Andy started to dress him... and who could resist those GORGEOUS eyes of his??

Photobucket
above: Jade getting the rings from Bailey - I need to say at this point, while Bailey did an extraordinary job, at one stage I went from being photographer to ring bearer, after Baily undid the ties on the ring cushion and wedding rings went flying!

Photobucket
above: I love this pic of these pair - I asked them to laugh and they gave me what I needed.. perfectly! They were laughing and having fun all day, they were such an easy pair to photograph
Photobucket
And the best light of the day. I think a walking on the jetty and silhoutte shots are a must on Heron :)

TO Jade and Andy, all the very best for your life together and thank you again for having me be there for your day. It was an absolute pleasure to be apart of

And my relationship with Heron is shaping up to be a good one also, I will be back on the 17th of this month for Heather and Darcys wedding, and I am, very much looking forwards to it

Enjoy!

Heron Island... cant believe its just on our doorstep

Well I am actually nowhere near finished going through my heron island pics - and I am about half-way through Jade & Andys wedding pics, but, I wanted to share these few with you all

I have lived in Gladstone for 7 years. I have never been to Heron Island, even though it is a 20 minute chopper flight away.

I have a few Heron Island weddings booked, so I was really quite excited to go over a day early so I could become familiar with the island before the big day. On the same note, I took Sam with me so that she could also get familiar, so that if either of us were to book weddings over there (which would be solo events) we were comfortable with everything.

So while we were there - both coping with MAJOR sunburn (we thought we would be seasick on the way over, so the back deck was a good idea, fresh air an all) Nope. We got ended up with arms so red I cant even explain, we both looked like rudolph and cool sunglass tan to boot.

But obviously we were there for photographic research ;P so we spent out first sunset fooling around and getting some shots (after a swim in that amazing clear water - fair is fair)

Here is a few that I like so far
